Marine Corps Exercises
Running – Marines must run on a regular basis whether it be a formation run or an individual run. It is also part of the PFT (Physical Fitness Test) that must be taken twice per year. It is very important for building cardiovascular endurance.
Crunches – These are also very important as it helps us to maintain a healthy core.
Pull-Ups – A great upper body exercise that works the back, arms and shoulders.
Push-Ups – Pushups are also a major part of the Marine Corps workout. Although they are not a part of the PFT, they are done on a regular basis and are great for working the chest.
Leg Lifts – These are great for the abdominals and the Marine Corps makes good use of them.
Flutter Kicks – Another great exercise for the abdominals. These also work the hip flexors and are great for swim conditioning.
Side Straddle Hops – Also known as jumping jacks, this exercise has been around for a long time. It is great for warming up before PT.
8-Count Body Builders – A challenging exercise that will test even the most advanced people.
