Marine Corps PFT

Physical fitness is very important in the military and especially in the Marines. Marines must be among the most physically fit in the world. Any Marine who is not physically fit is only a hindrance to the overall effectiveness of any given Marine Corps unit. The Marine Corps physical fitness test is a very important test that is taken twice per year to test the fitness level of each Marine. Those who do not meet the requirements are general assigned to remedial PT groups and must work to improve their overall fitness level.

The Marine Corps PFT consists of the following:

Men:
Pull-ups
Crunches
3 Mile Run

In order to achieve a high score on the test it is essential to continuously work on your strength and endurance along with proper technique.

To do this requires great discipline which is another top quality of great Marines. Only hard work and dedication will allow one to achieve the level of fitness required by the greatest fighting force in the world.
